Is this a subscription?
No. Standard, Advanced and Premium are one-time, perpetual (lifetime) desktop licences, not mandatory annual subscriptions. Premium Cloud is the one exception — a separate annual plan that remains Coming Soon.
What does “Lifetime” mean?
A Lifetime licence for Standard, Advanced or Premium never expires and includes one year of free updates and upgrades. After that first year, your licensed version keeps working; future upgrades or support packages may carry a charge.
What counts as a device?
Each edition's device limit is the number of Windows installations that can be actively signed in to your licence at the same time — see the Compare page for exact per-edition limits.
Can I try before I buy?
